Easy Fall Decoration Idea – Great Autumn Towels in Your Bathroom

One of my favorite places to re-decorate with the seasons are my bathrooms…why?  Because I’ve made them an eye-pleasing, neutral palate, that I can punch up with different towels, plants, ribbons, cords, and right now, Fall leaves in all the beautiful colors of Autumn.  This is SOOO easy to do.  And, inexpensive.  All you need are some towels in colors that go with your bathroom AND with the season, some ribbon or cord or raffia, and a few plant sprigs.  Here you can see my bathroom towels done up for Spring and Summer, then, you can see the transformation to Fall…

I had decorated my bathroom for Spring/Summer using light green towels with blue butterflies on them, light gold towels and white and pink ribbon.  Now it was time to bring in the Fall colors (Fall is my FAVORITE season!)  Here are the before and afters:

I switched to dark brown towels, with a gold hand towel and a striped Fall color Autumn leaf towel.  I then cinched the hand towel and fingertip towel together using gold cord and brown cord.  I found the towels at Marshalls and Kohls.  I found the fingertip towel (I LOVE this design) at Kohls, the cords at JoAnns and the colored leaves at Michaels (great find, for $0.99 you get 10-15 leaves in a little bag!!)

Then, I re-decorated the towel rod on the shower door:

On this one I used 2 of the hand towels with embroidered Fall leaves on them, and 2 dark brown washcloths.  I cinched the towels and washcloths together using gold cord and added a red/orange leaf and a gold leaf.  Took just a few minutes and I love the look!
