I really want it to be urban-y and chic with a little bit of a natural vibe (wood and metal nature things). I want to paint the walls gray-i know it sounds depressing but the shade gonna be medium and i have tons of windows in the room so i should be ok. and i want a wooden coffee table with a leather sofa on one side of it and two matching chairs on the other side, with the table on top of a black and white patterned rug. I really like the way i imagine it in my head (i also found a picture that is almost exactly what i want-it came from one of those paint sellers.
The only problem is that i have no idea where to buy the furniture, etc. that i want. based on the description does anyone have any ideas. so far ive tried shabby chic (a little too romantic) and urban outfitters, which had a lot of stuff i liked.
Thank you!
My room is SO small… and I hate it… It doesn’t even feel like a funky room that represents what I like or that I can just chill out in… really, it just feels like a little box that I have to sleep in at night time. I’ll describe my sad room to you:
Beige walls
Beige carpet
Solid pink twin sized bed
Small white dresser
White desk (not huge, not tiny)
Tiny, high up window.
And even with that small amount of furniture, you won’t believe how cramped it is. I want my room to look cozy AND fresh, but if it’s impossible to mix the two I’d rather it look fresh. So I want a fresh looking room (cozy, if possible). I might be able to replace some of my furniture, and more than likely paint my walls. So what color should I paint my walls, and what would be some nice furniture (links please) for themes, I would want… vintage or kind of shabby chic, fun and fresh, or maybe flowery. But not girly… I don’t really want pink walls. Also what are just some cute accessories and touches I can add to my room? Any thing I could make? Ty x
I probably should have mentioned… I live in Canada so unfortunately no Target or Delias
My husband and I are looking to buy new bedroom furniture and I really want black with a 4 poster bed (not laminate black, but maybe distressed?) and really want to make the room look “beachy.” I was even thinking of an iron bed and then black dressers, night tables, etc. Is this even possible? We are painting the room a very pale blue and adding white beadboard around the lower walls. I was thinking of a white matelasse comforter, but just don’t know if the black furniture will work? I’m afraid that white furniture will limit us too much in the future though. Any ideas would be great!
